Accompaniment
I began my journey as an accompanist on the piano my freshman year of high school. Over the past three years, I've accepted every opportunity to challenge myself and grow in this skill. Accompanying the choral groups at my high school continues to be a joy. I look forward to collaborating with more musical groups in the future.
Measure Me Sky
"Measure Me Sky" is a soaring, musical piece that highlights the contributions of women past and present to the fine arts. Inspired by a poem written by 19th-century poet Leonora Speyer and composed by contemporary composer Elaine Hagenberg, it is now performed by the all-female Chorale at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School. Accompanying my talented friends on this song was both a joy and a challenge, showcasing my growth in piano accompaniment.
Elijah Rock
This piece performed by Gwynedd Mercy Academy's chorale group is a traditional spiritual song that offers a message of inspiration and courage during difficult times.
Balancing the Scales
Balancing the Scales was my first experience with accompanying the members of Chorale on the piano. This piece was performed at our Music and Arts festival as a song of goodbye for our seniors.
Barcelona Memories
I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Europe with my school over spring break last year. One hotel that we visited had an gorgeous lobby with a piano that beckoned me to play. My impromptu concert included favorites for everyone - Piano Man for the older crowd, Let It Go for the children, and Betty for my Swifty friends who chose to sing along. It was a magical moment and remains a cherished memory.
